Michigan-Made for 100 Years
Since 1906, we've been making steel furniture from our base in Plainwell, Michigan. At Montisa Work, we take pride in what we make, and our workforce of local, skilled craftspeople ensure our products meet the highest standards.
The Metal Milking Stool
When Montisa opened in 1906 as the Angle Steel Company, our very first product was a three-legged, metal milking stool. Back then, stools were made of wood, which didn't hold up well to life on a farm. Strong, durable and light, our steel stool was an innovation and a success. Today, our line of Angle Stools are based on the original design of the metal milking stool--a nod to our heritage.
Building on our history of quality steel construction, our line has grown to include other metal products, including tables, chairs, case goods, storage and now a line of work tools--all designed for toughest work environments.
Plainwell Proud, Plainwell Strong
For more than 100 years, Montisa has been based in Plainwell, a small town in southwest Michigan. The people of Plainwell and the surrounding communities are Montisa's most valuable resource. Their skills and talents make us strong. In return, we do our best to strengthen their lives by keeping jobs local. We proudly provide employees with benefits, training, advancement, and other opportunities.
